OUR SERVICES
TSI offers a variety of progressive options to individuals who need residential and other professional supports in order to live as independently as possible in the home and community of their choice.
Current TSI services include group homes, supported living programs and a variety of individualized support services that enable persons with disabilities to enjoy a fully integrated community lifestyle.
For over 17 years, TSI has operated state licensed group residences for adults who have mental retardation and related developmental disabilities. Each of our 16 group homes is designed to meet the needs of up to 8 individuals who need 24 hour supervision and training in order to achieve or maintain their personal dreams and optimal level of functioning. The homes are located in multiple communities, ranging from rural New Harmony and Haubstadt, in the southwest corner of the state, to the Central Indiana city of Indianapolis. Many of the homes are completely wheelchair accessible.
In recent years, TSI has begun providing highly personalized supported living and related services to individuals who desire to live in their own home or apartment. In these settings, individuals receive needed training and supports that range from 24 hour live-in help to a few hours a week of individualized assistance in such areas as household or budget management or access to community services.
All of our services are person-centered and based on an individual plan that is developed by an interdisciplinary team. The team includes the individual, service professionals, the person's guardian (if applicable) and friends or family members of the service recipient's choice. TSI recognizes that every person has hopes and dreams, as well as needs, and works cooperatively with families and other service providers in pursuit of each individual's desired lifestyle.

FUNDING
Most Hoosiers with developmental disabilities will qualify for Medicaid funded services that will address needs that are not met by the public education or vocational rehabilitation services systems. In other cases, funding
may be provided by the state Bureau for Developmental Disabilities Services. Individuals may be asked to share in the cost
of services, based on their ability to pay.
Each Medicaid funded service recipient is provided an independent case manager of their choice, who will help them identify funding that may be available for their services. TSI works cooperatively with case managers to obtain any financial supports that may be available.
TSI is a certified provider of Medicaid ICF/MR group home services. It is also licensed by the State of Indiana to provide services provided under most of the state's "Medicaid Waiver" programs. The Medicaid Waiver funds supported living and related services to people with developmental disabilities.
