  5. HOW ARE TSI's SERVICES FUNDED?
The primary funding source for all of TSI services is Medicaid. Most adults who experience developmental disabilities will qualify for Medicaid in the State of Indiana. Individuals are expected to participate in the cost of their services, based on their ability to pay.

  6. HOW DOES A PERSON BECOME ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE TSI SERVICES?
Most referrals for services to TSI must be processed through, and approved by, the state Bureau for Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS). BDDS has district offices throughout the state where applications for services may be initiated. (See Resources) A BDDS Service Coordinator will assist the applicant in becoming financially eligible for services and in identifying potential providers of services needed.
