INTRODUCTION

Transitional Services, Inc. ("TSI") provides quality residential and community living supports to people with developmental disabilities. A growing company with service sites throughout central and southwest Indiana, TSI frequently has employment opportunities for knowledgeable professionals and caring paraprofessional service providers who are seeking a meaningful career helping others.

Funded primarily by Medicaid and funds from the State of Indiana, TSI offers person-centered and person-directed services that allow the consumer to live in the home and community of their choice, avoiding unnecessary institutional or nursing home care. Our employees carry out specific plans of care and training that have been developed by the service recipient's interdisciplinary support team, of which the person and his family and friends are valued participants. We seek to meet people's needs while supporting them in pursuit of their personal hopes and dreams.

Some of the people we serve continue to live with their own families, and we provide intermittent services to them that will provide opportunities for learning new skills or that may just provide a helpful, trained companion while their family caregivers have a respite from the demands of care. Other people we serve live alone or with roommates in apartments or another home of their choice, and TSI provides residential living and training supports ranging from a few hours a week to 24 hours per day. Still others prefer to live in one of our "group homes," where up to 8 individuals live together in a home that is located in a typical residential neighborhood, and where 24 hour awake staff assure their ongoing health and safety. Employment opportunities are available in many of these environments.

So, if you are looking for a challenging and rewarding job helping people with disabilities to live and learn, consider employment at TSI. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
